Exploring male self pleasure: embracing gentleness and resensitisation
In my practice as a tantric massage therapist, I've had numerous conversations with male clients about self-pleasure. Many express a common theme: their experiences are dominated by fast and hard techniques, often accompanied by watching pornography. While this approach provides immediate gratification, it can lead to decreased sensitivity over time. This can make it challenging for them to connect deeply with their own bodies and may create a dependency on external stimuli to achieve satisfaction. Through my observations, I've found that a shift towards gentleness and mindful practices can profoundly enhance pleasure and resensitise the senses.
Embracing Gentle Self-Pleasure
Transitioning to a gentler approach requires time and patience but can rekindle a deeper connection with oneself. Here are some steps to start this transformation:
1. Set the Mood: Create a serene environment. Dim the lights, play calming music, and eliminate distractions. This sets the stage for a more mindful experience.
2. Focus on Breath: Begin by centering attention on your breathing. Slow, deep breaths can help you relax and bring awareness to your body.
3. Explore Without Expectations: Allow yourself to explore your body without the pressure of reaching a climax. Use light, gentle touches to explore different sensations. Notice how your body responds to various degrees of pressure and rhythm.
4. Mindfulness Techniques: Incorporate mindfulness into your practice. Pay attention to every sensation—how your skin feels, the temperature of your hands, the rhythm of your heartbeat. This awareness can elevate your experience and resensitise your senses over time.
5. Draw Inspiration from Sessions: Reflect on our massage sessions together. How does the touch you receive make you feel? Consider offering that same loving, gentle touch to yourself. This approach can help you cultivate a more compassionate and attentive experience.
6. Limit Visual Stimulation: Try focusing less on visual aids like pornography and more on the sensations within your body. It might be challenging initially, but aiming to internalize your focus can yield long-term benefits.
Resensitisation (I might have made up this word:) doesn't happen overnight. It requires patience and consistent practice. By embracing gentleness and mindfulness, you develop a more profound, fulfilling connection with your body. Remember, the journey is as significant as the destination, and each step brings you closer to enhanced sensation and satisfaction.
Changing ingrained habits is a journey, but one that holds the promise of more profound satisfaction and a truer connection with oneself.
